Nostalgia Pan Americana

Capt. Blair flew his first "Excalibur" , the Sikorsky VS-44 at Sikorsky as a test pilot and then with American Export Airlines. He actually flew "Excambian" more than the other two. Even though he named those important aircraft in his career "Excalibur" renaming N41881 to "Excalibur VII" wouldn't have been appropriate and didn't happen.

Listed below are the eight "Excalibur's" flown by  Capt. Charles F. Blair

The photo is one of two Short Sandringham's purchased by Antilles Air Boats but it is not "Excalibur VIII formerly :Islander. This aircraft is :Southern Cross" formerly "Beachcomber"
